Not long ago, a video went viral on social media in which Apty Alautdinov, Kadyrov’s deputy in the security bloc in Ukraine, tells how a Russian from Murmansk who joined them accepted Islam before his death. https://youtu.be/ppuIRDbQVmsIn In the conditions of the information war, the video was received differently. Non-Muslims in Ukraine mocked the Russians, saying, «Look, you are fighting to accept Islam. But for Muslims, especially Russians, this story could not have failed to resonate in their hearts.
And here we have to divide it into two aspects. The first is that a non-Muslim said the Shahada before his death, and this concerns his eternal life. Especially if we’re talking about a person who hasn’t had the opportunity to gain knowledge in religion and understand its heights, what he’s participating in, and what can justify his mistakes on the Day of Resurrection. Only Allah knows best.
The second aspect is the overall assessment from an Islamic perspective of the situation in which Muslims or people who consider themselves Muslims are involved. This has been said many times.
Much has been said about how participation in a war against Ukraine, whose strategic goal is the return of tens of millions of Orthodox Slavs and Orthodox shrines to the «Russian world,» is a complete absurdity for the Muslim peoples of the Caucasus and Idel-Ural.
But the thing is, for a Russian who accepts Islam in Russia, it is doubly absurd. For while the Kremlin somehow carves out certain niches for «ethnic Muslims» who are loyal subjects, Russian Muslims in Putin’s Russia have long been declared enemies of the people, to be destroyed as a class.
All attempts by Russian Muslims to unite in Russia in order to systematically call their people to Islam and then live according to Islam in their communities have been suppressed by the security forces under the leadership of the Russian Orthodox Church. Moreover, this has happened even to those who have tried to prove that they do not harm Russia but, on the contrary, can be beneficial to it. But no — at the instigation of the Russian Orthodox Church, it was clearly determined that Islam in its «traditional» form could be tolerated for loyal «ethnic Muslims,» but Russian Muslims should not exist as a visible social phenomenon at all. Therefore, the brightest among them were forced to leave Russia, including to Ukraine.
However, the same pro-Kremlin propaganda that has been poisoning Russian Muslims for years is quite conducive to their dying for the «Russian world». After all, the benefit is twofold — first, that they die for Russia, sacrifice their lives for it, and second, that they simply die and do not become a problem in the future. Because if there are many Russians who accept Islam, they may start to cause problems just by the fact of their existence and annoy the Russian Orthodox Church. That is why the ideal Russian Muslim for the «Russian world» is a dead one — someone who, if he accepted Islam, immediately died for Russia without having the chance to create a Russian Muslim family or spread Islam among other Russians.
«A good Russian Muslim is a dead Russian Muslim» — this is the principle that the «Russian world» applies to them. And even if they are not physically dead, they should be socially dead, that is, they should not draw unnecessary attention to themselves. And it is even better to die spiritually — to devote oneself to the service of the state, which considers people like them as enemies.
Russians — embrace Islam and stay alive physically and spiritually, instead of feeding the «Russian world» with your blood!
