Yesterday, the special services and authorities of Belarus announced the neutralization of 33 employees of the Wagner Private Military Company (PMC) in that country, accused by them of preparing terrorist attacks, and the search for another 200 of their colleagues involved in the same activities.
And we remember that on this day two years ago, our brother Orkhan Dzhemal and two of his colleagues — Alexander Rastorguev and Kirill Radchenko — were killed in the Central African Republic during an investigation into the activities of the same PMC.
The day before, the Russian Ambassador to the Central African Republic, Vladimir Titorenko, stated that he could not comment on the progress of the investigation, but noted that «the killers have not yet been found» and that «the investigation by local law enforcement agencies is continuing.
Meanwhile, these killers have not been found, but they are known, if we are not talking about the perpetrators, but the organizers: https://dossier.center/car/. And as the journalist Roman Popkov correctly wrote yesterday, in order to identify them, the Russian Investigative Committee, which is «leading» (but not investigating) this case, must do the following:
— interrogate the employee of FAN Kirill Romanovsky
— interrogate Yevgeny Prigozhin
— interrogate the employee of Wagner PMC Alexander Sotov, who coordinated the surveillance of journalists in the CAR
— interrogate «the adviser to the president of the CAR on security» Valery Zakharov
— conduct searches at their premises, seize and examine means of communication, analyze all their available correspondence and messenger calls since the summer of 2018.»
It is clear that none of this will be done. Under this regime. And it will be done by the authorities who will simply set the task — to investigate this and many other political assassinations. Insha’Allah, it will happen one day.
Meanwhile, we can be happy that our brother is remembered not only by his co-religionists, but also by the Russian journalistic and civil society, whose representatives have launched a new educational project named after him — the Orkhan Dzhemal Media Security Academy. Leading experts in their field offer all interested journalists and amateur journalists free training in risk analysis, the basics of physical security in risk zones, information and cyber security, psychological and emotional security, and legal protection against media risks.
