Throughout the week, we refrained from detailed commentary on the events in Kazakhstan, limiting ourselves to daily reports on what was happening there. And this allowed us to be «above the fray» when it came to the internal confrontation in that country.
After all, the questions about opposing a ruler in a Muslim country are indeed complex. Can one oppose an unjust Muslim ruler or a ruler who is apostate? How should we view the ruler of a Muslim country if he does not rule according to Sharia law? Does he still pray or not? Is there the strength to overthrow a ruler whom it is permissible to oppose or not? Will this improve or worsen the situation of Muslims? Under what banners is this opposition taking place, and who is leading it? These questions have been debated for decades, and since there was too much ambiguity in what was happening in Kazakhstan at the stage of internal confrontation, we felt that it would be wrong for an Islamic website to call on its readers, among whom there are Kazakhs (although our website has long been blocked in Kazakhstan), to take any drastic action.
However, all these questions ceased to be relevant when Kazakhstan’s President Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev called on the military forces of non-Muslim states to resolve this internal confrontation within the Muslim people.
«If it turns out that we lack the forces to suppress it ourselves, then of course I regret it: how a brother can be killed in this way, I cannot understand. Then let us ask for help from those with whom we have made agreements. These words justifying such a decision will surely go down in history as an example of remarkable cynicism and hypocrisy. However, this hypocrisy is obvious because it clearly does not correspond to reality. This was demonstrated by Tokayev’s speech today, in which he stated that he had ordered Kazakh security forces to kill protesting Kazakhs without mercy or warning. Is it not so difficult for a Kazakh to kill Kazakhs, Tokayev? Then why did you invite non-Muslim occupiers into the land of Muslims?
Whatever the answer to this question may be, it does not negate the main point — from that moment on, Tokayev has become an accomplice of the occupiers of a Muslim country, just like the puppet communist government of Afghanistan, which invited Soviet occupiers to Afghanistan, after which a defensive jihad began, supported by Muslims worldwide. And, by the way, these parallels are quite apt.
Just as in 1979, when Muslim Afghanistan tried to maneuver between the capitalist West and the communist East, it was forcibly incorporated into the communist bloc, something similar is happening today. If before the recent events the Kazakhstani authorities were trying to balance between Beijing, Moscow and Ankara, now the ideologues and propagandists of the occupiers can no longer hide their joy that this «multi-vector policy» is over and a harsh integration of Kazakhstan into the «Russian world» will begin. The signs of this have already appeared — if before Tokayev always spoke in Kazakh and Russian, now he makes his speeches only in Russian.
In essence, Kazakhstan will be forcibly incorporated into the USSR 2.0 under the auspices of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. It is noteworthy that the Muslim member of the CSTO, Kyrgyzstan, refused to participate in the pacification of its Turkic brothers (Uzbekistan also declared non-interference in Kazakhstan’s internal affairs), but the announcement of the deployment of troops from this new Warsaw Pact (which forcibly held the people of Eastern Europe) was made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Historical symbolism has already manifested itself in this — despite all the contradictions between the Chekists and Dashnaks in Central Asia against the Muslim Turks, they will act together, just as they did a hundred years ago.
Thus, the USSR 2.0, having broken its teeth in Ukraine, but having managed to swallow Belarus, has decided to begin reabsorbing Muslim Turkestan, just as it did a hundred years ago. Back then, the Muslims responded with the Basmachi movement. Will they this time meekly allow themselves to be digested in this decaying parody of the Soviet Union, all becoming «Jamshans and Jamshuts» and «Abdullah with Comrade Sukhov» en masse?!
