Yesterday’s loud congratulations to employees of law enforcement agencies on their professional holiday in the center of Moscow undoubtedly became the news of the week for Russians. Now there is no lack of information about the incident, and the identity of the distinguished person is known. I would like to think about it.
Our Tatar readers must have noticed that this is not the first high-profile incident involving their compatriots. Just recently, conscript Ramil Shamsutdinov opened fire on the military unit where he was being mistreated by his superiors, fearing that they would sexually assault him (https://golosislama.com/news.php?id=37434).
Let us also recall another similar case — the murder of doctor Misbah-Babayev in Tatarstan, who refused to serve him in the Tatar language until he removed his Muslim headgear (https://golosislama.com/news.php?id=28621).
And now another case, where Evgeny Fatyhovich Manyurov attacked the headquarters of the FSB.
When it became known that the «Lubyanka shooter» had a Tatar patronymic and Tatar origins, the predictable speculation about an «Islamist» motive began. After being interrogated by FSB officers who harshly detained journalist Anna Nikitina, who had arrived ahead of them to see his mother, she and his father, who had not communicated with his son for decades, began to claim that he had recently been in contact with Arabs in English and might have fallen under their nefarious influence while working in the United Arab Emirates.
But to be fair, even the minimally adequate propagandists of the security forces, when commenting on these versions, had to admit that they were nonsense. «Nice try, but no,» as they say today in such cases. Although, in fact, even the attempt is not very convincing. But the reason can be understood…
For decades, Kremlin and Chekist propagandists have been accustomed to explaining any real or imaginary terrorism in the country by the activities of dangerous and alien ideologies, with «Islamism» in the forefront. However, it turns out that not only the ideological spectrum of terrorists is expanding (in this case the term is used without value judgment…), for example, when a Russian radical attacked the FSB building in Arkhangelsk (https://golosislama.com/news.php?id=35316).
It turns out that it is not only members of «extremist» organizations, sentenced to ten years in prison in Putin’s Russia, and not only individuals who have been indoctrinated by them, who take up arms and turn against the Kremlin’s security forces, but also absolutely «Soviet», «Russian» and «Russian-cultural» people who have been ideologically shaped by the propaganda and lifestyle of the «Russian world».
For example, as we wrote earlier, Ramil Shamsutdinov attended military-patriotic camps, aspired to join the Russian army, posed with state-patriotic symbols, and grew up in a family that can hardly be called a model Muslim one. The same applies to Manyurov, who grew up with a Russian mother and grandmother, was a fully socialized Russian citizen, and moreover served in security structures associated with the FSB, for whose employees he developed hatred…
All these people did not attend meetings of Hizb ut-Tahrir or other organizations banned in Russia, but peacefully carried out activities in Western countries — they were formed in the matrix of the «Russian world», just like Vladislav Roslyakov, the «Kerch shooter». This not only did not prevent them from taking up arms and turning them against «their own», but apparently helped them. And this is the scariest part of the story for the security forces and Kremlin propagandists. After all, they have more or less learned to fight against «others». But what to do about the growing threat from the «socially close» and «their own»?
