Will the Muslims be isolated in the Russian colonies?

With some delay, the attention of the Muslim community was drawn to an extremely important news that was spread by Media.Zone in the last days of last year.
We are talking about Vladimir Putin’s signing of a law amending the Criminal Executive Code regarding the separate detention of persons convicted under the so-called «terrorist articles».
It should be noted that in the context of the «witch hunt» in modern Putin’s Russia, only a minority of those convicted under «terrorist articles» are people who have committed or planned to commit acts, not to mention the fact that criminal cases against a significant part of the accused are also fabricated by planting explosives and the like.
However, the majority of those convicted under «terrorist articles» in modern Russia are individuals accused either of membership in «terrorist organizations» that have no connection to terrorism, or of «terrorism justification,» such as the elderly Imam Mahmut Velitov, who was imprisoned for praying for a murdered Muslim who was not even accused of being a member of such an organization, or of «financing terrorism,» which could include money transfers for the construction of wells in Africa, which the FSB later classified as ISIS hideouts. And so on and so on.
Let’s call a spade a spade — the overwhelming majority of those convicted under these articles in Russia are Muslims, which has been recognized by numerous human rights organizations, as we have written about many times.
Accordingly, the adopted law can be seen as a law to isolate Muslims in Russian colonies.
Or at least active Muslims — so-called «Islamists», as they are called.
What is the sense of such a measure?
For several years now, Russian law enforcement agencies have been sounding the alarm about the mass «Islamization» of Russian prisons.
Terms such as «prison jamaats» or «green mast» have emerged to describe this new reality — self-organized Muslims who follow not the «red» (criminal) or «black» (thief) law, but God’s law — Sharia.
They are particularly concerned about the acceptance of Islam by Russians, which is why in many Russian colonies there is a deliberate directive to «break» them, to force them to renounce their faith, often even in writing.
It is quite obvious that the isolation of «Islamists» serves this very purpose — the fight against «Islamization».
After all, the prison is an ideal model of today’s Russian society, and if Islamization takes place within it, it can spill over its borders, and this is already one of the main nightmares for the administration of the nationwide camp called «Russian Federation».
However, Allah says in the Koran: «They seek to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even though the unbelievers hate it» (61:8).
In addition to Muslims imprisoned under the so-called «terrorist articles,» there are many Muslims serving sentences under general criminal charges, including those who have been planted with drugs or weapons because of their Islamic activities and beliefs.
According to this law, they cannot be isolated, which will render ineffective such a measure of «combating Islamization» as this one.
As for the creation of Russian equivalents of Guantanamo, by concentrating people with shared Islamic values in them on the one hand, and putting in their midst some Russian bloggers imprisoned for posts and comments in support of «partisans» and so on, the regime will only contribute to the Islamization not only of ordinary prisoners, but of their selected, politicized part.
Is this the result the Russian special services want? Let them answer that question themselves…
