The tragedy in Magnitogorsk, where dozens of people were killed in the collapse of a residential building as a result of an explosion of unknown origin (according to the official version — household gas), also affected Muslims. We have already written about the Tajik mother and her children who died in this disaster. However, from the messages of numerous media sources, positive news related to Muslims became known, namely about a young man named Alan Abdulayev. He was one of the first to come to the aid of people trapped under the rubble. We wanted to write about this news at the same time as other Islamic and non-Islamic media who reported it. However, after familiarizing ourselves with Alan’s views by studying his social media accounts, we had some doubts about how to present this information.
His page on Odnoklassniki (a Russian social media platform) showed that Alan supports President Putin’s policy of «fighting terrorism» in Syria. Or the deployment of new Russian «Iskander» missiles in the Kaliningrad region — apparently to fight terrorism already in Europe. We found it possible to make this information public because it was posted on Alan’s public page, which also made him a public figure these days. And we would like to say the following.
Of course, Alan has done a great job in coming to the aid of the affected people, including Muslims. This is an excellent presentation of Islam, the true propagation of good deeds, which our Ummah desperately needs today. He has done a commendable job because he goes to the mosque for prayers while many of his peers go to discos or bars. He also works out and leads a healthy lifestyle. In general, Alan is practically an ideal example of a Muslim in modern society. But for this very reason, we would like to urge him and others like him who combine an Islamic way of life with the ideas propagated on his site to think about something.
Alan, you went to help ordinary people, women and children trapped under the rubble of the building. But thanks to the policies of the leader you support, thousands of ordinary people, including your co-religionists, ended up under the rubble of hundreds of houses in Syria — «terrorists» according to them. Unfortunately, many of them could not be saved, and parents pulled out the bodies of their children, or the children found the bodies of their parents there. And now that you have witnessed this tragedy yourself, will you continue to support your leader’s fight against such «terrorists» in Syria? Think about it, Alan. And why is it that while the leader you support is bombing «terrorists» similar to those you saved, or deploying those Iskander missiles you like on the borders of other countries, in Russia defective airplanes are falling one after another, old mines are exploding, or houses are collapsing? Maybe it’s because there’s not enough money to maintain or modernize them, money that has gone into bombs for Syria or Iskander missiles for Europe, not to mention the yachts of Sechin, Abramovich, and so on.
It’s great, Alan, that as a young man you go to the mosque and wear a beard, as is expected of a Muslim, and at least in Russia you are allowed to do so. But you probably know that it is much more difficult to do that in your native Uzbekistan, even now, after the death of the tyrant Karimov. And you should probably know that the campaign against Islamic revival in the states of Central Asia comes from Moscow (as well as from Beijing), from the very leader you support. And the Muslims of Turkestan are needed by him as powerless and obedient migrant workers in Russia, not as free and proud people living in their prosperous countries.
In conclusion, Alan, we would like you to reflect on all this, and may Allah make you even better than you already are. There’s no doubt that you are a true hero, but it would be worth it for you to become a little wiser.
