When Rasmus Paludan, with the indulgence of the Swedish authorities, once again burned a copy of the Koran in this country, it took about a day to establish a connection between the organizers of this action and the Russian hybrid war machine (https://golosislama.com/news.php?id=41353). A similar action recently carried out by his followers in the Netherlands did not even require such investigative efforts. Edwin Wagensveld (pictured), who carried it out, is one of the leaders of the PEGIDA movement, whose connections with the Kremlin have been written about since 2016, and in fact they did not hide them, holding their rallies in Germany under Russian flags, praising Putin as a fighter against «Islamism,» interacting with the «Night Wolves,» and so on (https://clck.ru/33MYJ6).
We repeat that these obvious links between such figures and the Kremlin in no way justify the authorities and rules of the countries where such blasphemy is allowed. Muslims will never accept this, and the fewer opportunities they have to oppose it through legal means, the greater the likelihood that retaliation will be carried out in other ways.
Neither Muslim states nor minority communities in the West are interested in such a development of events, but objectively the West should not be interested either.
In 2015-2016, when all this pro-Kremlin «dandruff» was shaking the Western political system from within, one could at least say that there were objective reasons for it in the form of a large influx of refugees from the Middle East. Yes, even then, the Kremlin’s game of provoking the flow of these refugees from Syria by bombing Syrian cities and simultaneously supporting politicians in the West who called for negotiations with Assad and Putin to stop it was understood and proven. But at least then one could understand the fears of the Europeans due to the influx of a significant number of foreigners into their countries.
Now there is no massive influx of Syrians or other Muslims into Europe. There is an influx of Ukrainian refugees, who are fleeing from the same thing that Syrians were fleeing from in 2015-2016 — Russian bombs. Therefore, objectively, the anti-Islamic frenzy in Europe has almost disappeared, and today it is very much mobilized against the real and main enemy — Russia, which has completely lost its mind.
But someone is not satisfied with this mobilization, and in order to divert attention from real problems to imaginary ones, attempts are being made to rekindle the European-Islamic confrontation. It is obvious who benefits from this, everyone. Besides, they do not even try anymore, and perhaps they simply cannot use material that has nothing to do with them for these purposes. So they have to reopen their old cans again and again.
