Just recently we wrote about how the Russian head of government of Tatarstan, Alexei Pesoshin, ordered the Orthodox militarized formations of the Cossacks to «maintain public order» in this historically Muslim republic. And just yesterday, another Russian member of the Tatarstan government, Interior Minister Artem Khokhorin, called for a fight against the education of Muslim children by their families based on Islamic principles and beyond the brainwashing system of the state education system.
Speaking at the meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he said that the transition of children from religious Muslim families, all of whom he classified as «Salafis» as a great specialist in Islamic theological schools, poses a threat to society. After all, they would be brought up «in a closed society, separated from the community». In this connection, the Russian head of the Yandarm has ordered his subordinates to start identifying Muslim families and children in Tatarstan who practice home education, which is allowed by Russian legislation.
Obviously, these families will be the first candidates to be sent to re-education camps when China’s experience with Uyghurs is transferred to Russia? However, it must be admitted that, unlike the builders of the «Russian world», the Chinese Communists are at least consistent — they fight not only against Islam, but also against all religions, including Christians, followers of «Falun Gong», the Dalai Lama, etc. Meanwhile, Russia’s centralizers are trying to make the Uyghurs a target of their own propaganda.
Meanwhile, the Russian centralizers, with one hand, forbid Islamic education for Muslim children, and with the other, grant Orthodox Cossacks the right to patrol Muslim lands. Moreover, it is becoming increasingly clear that their goal is for Muslim peoples to stop being Muslims. For example, two years ago we wrote about the promotion by the leadership of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) of the so-called «Orthodox Tatar» project, the face of which is supposed to be Dinara Bukharova, allegedly the wife of an FSB general. Now they are trying to raise this project to another level among the Tatars — according to the program of Christmas readings conducted by the ROC these days, one of its sections entitled «History and Perspectives of Orthodox Mission among Turkic-speaking Peoples», organized jointly by the Synodal Missionary Department and the Moscow Tatar Orthodox Christian Community, was to be held at the Tatar Cultural Center in Moscow at Malyy Tatarskiy Pereulok, 8.
To be clear, the Tatar Cultural Center, also known as the Asadullaev House, has been the historical center not only of the Tatar community in Moscow, but also of the Moscow Muslims for many decades, when these concepts were inseparable. And now Mrs. Bukharova and such prominent «Tatar national figures» as Metropolitan Tikhon of Pskov and Porkhov, Bishop Vasiliy of Kasimov and Sasov, and — how could it be without him — Silantyev Roman Anatolyevich (L.A.), plan to meet there to discuss how to Christianize the Tatars.
Once again, in the center of Tatar life, one of the imperatives of which for centuries was precisely to resist the Christianization of the Tatars, high-ranking representatives of the ROC plan to meet to discuss how to better conduct this Christianization. Meanwhile, the Russian minister in Tatarstan is planning to identify religious Muslim families, and the Russian prime minister is planning to release Cossacks to patrol the streets. This is Putin’s Russia in early 2019.
