Not long ago, various Islamophobes used to blame Islam for acts of terrorism or quasi-terrorism involving Muslims, using memes about the «most peaceful religion» or about how «not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims,» and so on. In recent years, however, acts of terrorism involving Muslims in Russia have become rare, and even those that do occur are often opaque and raise significant questions about their «investigation,» if it can be called that. Instead, news of how the most prominent representatives of the «deep people» and the «Russian world» will either dismember or shoot someone has been pouring in lately as if from an abundance. Just last week we discussed how the security forces, which have been putting people from ideologically hostile organizations banned in Russia behind bars for a long time, are now facing terror not from their side, but from typical products of the «Russian world» that their regime has nurtured in the country (source).
However, not only they have to deal with this terrorism and lawlessness, but also ordinary Russians, who used to honor such people as heroes — fighters against «terrorists in Syria», «Ukrainian Nazis», and so on. For example, it was announced yesterday that Igor Tolstoshein (pictured), known as the organizer of «military-patriotic camps,» was arrested for seducing and assaulting a 12-year-old girl, who turned out to be just one of his many victims.
Krivoshein is best known as the organizer of the «military-patriotic» project «Zarya» — one of the projects that has been churning out children indoctrinated with the ideology of the «Russian world» all over Russia and, as it turns out, corrupting them in every way. However, most media outlets conveniently failed to mention that the same Krivoshein was part of the leadership of the so-called «Slavic Corps,» recruiting people to participate in combat operations in Donbass and Syria, even before this role was handed over to the Wagner PMC.
What the Wagner group was doing in Syria is already known today (source). But those who hoped that they would only do such activities there were mistaken, just as some earlier thought that Russian torturers who tortured Chechens would leave their skills in Chechnya and not bring them home…
By the way, another prominent representative of the «Russian world», a member of the Union of Writers of the so-called DNR (Donetsk People’s Republic), Alexander Kontorovich, was arrested yesterday in Moscow. Law enforcement officers found a whole arsenal of weapons in his house.
Apparently, after the incident with Yevgeny Manyurov, they began to consider the possibility that he might start shooting at them…
