(The photo: Cages with Human Skulls)
Last Friday, ISIS deployed a number of metal cages in various areas of Raqqa city, and several human skulls were seen inside these cages.
According to a correspondent from «Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently,» four such cages were placed across different parts of the city. The first cage was set up in the courtyard of the National Hospital in Raqqa, the second in the Tel al-Bi’aa area (the cemetery), the third in the Hatteen Cemetery, and the fourth next to Al-Noor Mosque. The purpose of placing skulls inside the cages was to terrorize women during their punishment for violating the «Islamic dress code» or the rules of the “Hisbah” (morality police). Punishment durations ranged from a single day to a full day and night, during which women were forced to sleep outside, inside the cages alongside the skulls.
According to the same correspondent, on Wednesday morning, ISIS placed a 19-year-old girl, referred to as “A.M.”, inside the cage set up next to Al-Noor Mosque. She was accused of violating the “Islamic dress code” while cleaning the stairs of her family’s building. After four hours of imprisonment, the girl suffered a severe nervous breakdown.
ISIS has become a new school in the art of torture and terrorism, rivaling even the Assad regime in its brutal innovation in psychological and physical torment.
