The mysterious story of whether Adam Delimkhanov is dead, alive, injured or healthy is undoubtedly one of the main intrigues of this week, especially for the Caucasian information space. Frankly, the evidence that Delimkhanov is alive and well is unconvincing and has already been critically analyzed by many commentators, so there is no point in repeating this criticism here. Time will tell if he is alive and well, but for now the following can be said.
First, there was definitely an attack on the concentration of Kadyrov’s forces where Delimkhanov was located.
Secondly, after this strike, Ramzan Kadyrov, having lost Delimkhanov before he was «found», publicly appealed to the military leadership of the enemy country, which he had repeatedly promised to destroy, asking them to find his subordinate. This second circumstance is truly extraordinary in a war situation. Normally, communication between enemies is conducted through closed channels, including the solution of problems under certain conditions, but definitely not public appeals to the enemy for help. Moreover, help was requested to determine the fate of an enemy combatant, whose injury or death in war conditions is a perfectly normal situation and not a reason to publicly ask the enemy for help. Especially someone you have repeatedly tried to humiliate.
Regardless of what exactly happened to Delimkhanov, this situation has become a kind of precedent, showing that even the most zealous hawks of the Russian regime essentially recognize the military superiority of the Ukrainian side and are ready to make public appeals to it. And this is happening at a time when Putin is still alive and Russia is still under control. What will happen if this changes?
As for the first issue, the situation with Delimkhanov himself, it could not have gone unnoticed that just a week after his confrontation with Yevgeny Prigozhin, a targeted attack was carried out on the place where he was, offering to «meet» and «talk like men». And we will remind you that Prigozhin responded to this (https://golosislama.com/news.php?id=41677): «As for further continuation, undoubtedly, if such antics continue, I certainly have no intention of riding any arrows… and it would be foolish if a passing tinted nine fires a shot, as happened with Yamadayev, with a bunch of people who died in such situations… as for adult serious decisions, if necessary, of course, we will defend our interests, not without the blessing of the Russians, if there is offensive language.»
Thus, Prigozhin promised that he would make «serious adult decisions» in the event of another conflict, which followed shortly after the settlement. It is true that at that time he relied on the «blessing of the Russians,» but another option is not excluded, as many have suggested and even voiced — leaking the coordinates of Delimkhanov’s location to the Ukrainian side for a strike against him. Not publicly, of course, but through those «closed communication channels» that Prigozhin undoubtedly has.
Unchivalrous? No doubt. But it should be remembered that there are no knights in this story, only those who are used to fighting for survival and solving their problems by any means. And the targeted attack on Delimkhanov just a week after his threats against Prigozhin showed that the international terrorist apparently knows how to solve problems «like an adult».
