Today the media, citing sources in the law enforcement agencies of Russia, reported the full disclosure of the high-profile case of the murder of the head of the CPV of Ingushetia and his brother, about which we wrote earlier this month (https://golosislama.com/news.php?id=37473). According to these reports, the version initially voiced by many experts, including us, about the murder of the main Ingush gang leader Ibrahim Eldzharkiyev and his brother Ahmed in revenge for the murder of the leader of the Batal-Hadzhin brotherhood Ibrahim Belkharoyev, about which we also wrote (https://golosislama.com/news.php?id=35661), has been confirmed. According to media sources, the revenge killing was organized and carried out in Moscow by four members of the Brotherhood, three of whom have already been arrested, while the actual killer managed to flee the country.
Against the backdrop of this news, predictable discussions have begun about the powerful Batal-Hadzhin Brotherhood, a cross between a religious order and a mafia, which allegedly has the power to execute and pardon, and is even said to be vying with Moscow for power in Ingushetia. This is all very interesting, of course, but for some reason the more important question — the cause of the murder of the main Ingush gang leader and his brother in Moscow — has been overlooked, while propaganda sources close to law enforcement agencies have been writing about it almost directly. Here is an example of how one of these channels, «VCHK-OGPU», covered the events: «Ibrahim (known as Ibi)* was the leader of a certain mixture of criminal organizations and a sect. He was successful. He managed to make friends with influential people from Chechnya. In Moscow, in the interests of the clan, he maintained criminal connections through the authority of Batyr Tumgoev. Through Hasan Tumgoev, the clan managed to establish excellent relations with Yunus-Bek Yevkurov. In 2018, the battalions decided to place representatives of the clan in key positions in the region. They began to talk openly about their ambitions to become the leading force in Ingushetia. Moscow did not like this at all, and the battalions were immediately attacked; in the capital, this could be done without any visible problems. Hasan Tumgoev was arrested by the FSB for embezzlement at Rosatom, and Batyr Tumgoev was sent to prison for the murder of Shabtai Kalmanovich ten years ago. But in Ingushetia, things were more complicated…
In other words, none of those who mourned Eldzharkiyev even tried to claim that he had nothing to do with Belkharoyev’s murder. On the contrary, the narrative was that the influential group that had fallen out of favor with the Kremlin needed to be dealt with, and since it was impossible to neutralize its leader by legal means in Ingushetia, it had to be resolved by other means.
And how is that even possible? If it is considered normal and justified to carry out de facto extrajudicial executions, organized not by anyone but by the head of a structure whose duty it is to protect the law and the rights of citizens, what can one call such a state? Well, it’s all right not to like the people of Batal-Hadzhin, but any reasonable person should understand that if the heads of law enforcement agencies are endowed with informal powers to carry out executions without trial or investigation, then other people will eventually become their victims.
In fact, why «will» they become victims? Few doubt the nature of the killings-executions of Anna Politkovskaya, Alexander Litvinenko, Boris Nemtsov, and many others, and these are only among those whose names are known worldwide. As for lesser-known individuals, such as Muslim activists summarily executed in various parts of the country, the list could go on for dozens (https://golosislama.com/news.php?id=31080). In most of these cases, official investigations have failed to find those responsible for such killings, or have dismissed them as the work of obvious «patsies». But in this case, it seems that the relatives of the deceased have conducted their own investigation and reached their own verdict…
