Some of our readers are probably expecting us to write today about the development of the ban on the translation of «Sahih Bukhari» or the story of the girl with the headscarf who was not allowed to go to school in Tyumen, but was supposedly allowed to wear it. But enough has already been said about this, and if there is something fundamentally new, it will be mentioned, God willing. Today, however, we will write about an event that is just as important for Russian Muslims.
In recent days, Muslims in the Western Balkans, especially in Bosnia, have been outraged by Russia’s hostile actions. It is well known that Russia is covering up the genocide of Bosnian Muslims, and we have written about this more than once (https://golosislama.com/news.php?id=37696). However, until recently, Russian state media had not actually called for the repetition of this genocide. And that moment came with the release on Russia Today of a film dedicated to the events of the last war in the former Yugoslavia, shot from an absolutely pro-Serbian position, which spoke of «Serbian Bosnia, Serbian Kosovo, Serbian Montenegro», allegedly taken away from the Serbs as a result of Western machinations. But that would be half the problem if it were only about the past.
However, during this film, an odious Serbian chauvinist named Mikhail Vacic, wearing a T-shirt with the letter Z, openly advocated a new genocide against Bosnian Muslims. Vacic, while applauding the war against Ukraine, said: «Just as Russia is liberating the Russian world through denazification and demilitarization, we Serbs have the right to create our Serbian world through a special operation in order to live in prosperity and freedom.»
What this Zerb means by «denazification» can be easily understood from the photo in which he is shown giving the Nazi salute and greeting his like-minded people. But do not think that he is just an insignificant clown. Of course he is a clown, but lately he has been actively promoted by Russian propaganda as an alternative to the more moderate Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who is forced to balance between Russia and the West.
So how is this news related to events in Russia that affect Muslims? It is related in that everything that comes from Russia is inherently hostile to Muslims. Therefore, any concessions it may make will only be tactical. The strategy and nature of everything related to Z was once again demonstrated by Vacic and the Russian state mouthpiece RT, which gave him a platform.
