The end of this week is a series of symbolic blows with the whip to Tatarstan and the Tatars, with the issuance of a small gingerbread cookie, which can then be taken away.
Almost on the same day, the Supreme Court made a decision on the final liquidation of the oldest Tatar national organization, the All-Tatar Public Center (VTOC), and Engel Fattakhov, the head of the Tatar national bastion in the republic — Aktanyshsky District, resigned.
The ban on VTOC was not a sensation — it should have been clear for a long time that the remnants of independent national movements in the republics would be finished off. The ingenuity lies in the fact that they did it on the same day they forced Fattakhov to resign under provocation.
The pretext was the story of the provocative erection of an Orthodox cross in the middle of a Muslim cemetery in Tatar-Muslim Aktanysh. The person they took there for burial did not live in Aktanysh, although he was registered there. For some reason, his Orthodox family brought his body to be buried in this cemetery, where Muslims were buried.
The cemetery administration was told that he had also converted to Islam, but later a large cross was placed on the grave. The cross was carefully cut down last December, causing an unprecedented scandal. It was then rebuilt. Today, someone tore it down again, and the head of the district resigned in remorse, as if he were to blame, and not those who vandalized the cross and those who deliberately created such a provocative situation.
And the essence of this story is that Aktanyshsky district is the most Tatar-Muslim district in Tatarstan. In this connection, for a long time questions have been asked: «Why do only non-Russians live here, isn’t it time to denazify them?» Obviously, they decided that it was time, and on the same day they imposed a permanent ban on the largest and oldest Tatar organization and dismissed the head of the Tatar district.
On the other hand, the day before the creation of the «Tatarstan Battalion» was solemnly announced, which will fight for the «Russian world». So far, in Ukraine. And if things don’t go well there, they will be needed in Tatarstan, where they will also work on «denazification».
Fortunately, calls for denazification were actively raised in connection with the Tatars against the rare joyful event for them — the opening of a monument to Suyumbike in the historical Tatar part of the city in Kasimov, which is a symbol of the struggle for freedom of the Kazan Khanate. The local authorities opened the monument at the request of the Tatar community.
And by the way, this story shows that not all regions of Russia are dominated by Islamophobes, and there are some normal people in some places. But the reaction of the «public» to this story, as shown by Z and V, showed that even if such people exist, they will inevitably come under the fire of the deranged.
For immediately both the initiators of the event and the authorities that welcomed them were accused of creating a cult of «Tatar Bandera» that needed to be «denazified» in order to be fought. And given the current trends, there is no certainty that in the end it will not be their line that prevails, which, unlike the decision of the Ryazan authorities, fits perfectly into the state agenda.
In other words, the course of «denazification» is now directed against the Tatars.
