Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova recently declared that the 1995 genocide of Muslims in Srebrenica was staged by Western directors. Meanwhile, the mentally unstable potato leader Lukashenko, who has become a lackey of the Kremlin, claimed yesterday that a similar genocide in the suburbs of Kiev, committed by Russian occupiers, was organized by the British.
However, «The Insider» project showed in its report yesterday that Moscow knows very well that the genocide in Srebrenica was real and has referred to it when it was convenient for them (https://theins.ru/antifake/250124). It is obvious that they also know about the genocide around Kiev. This is precisely why Putin, after calling what happened in Bucha a «fake,» quickly hid behind Raqqa, saying, «And when they say ‘Bucha’ to me, I ask, have you ever been to Raqqa? Have you seen how this Syrian city has been completely destroyed by American airstrikes? In other words, Putin means that he will do what the Americans allow him to do, because that is the philosophy of the insecure Kremlin imperialism.
And the fact that it is insecure, secondary and cowardly can be seen by comparing the original and the copy and their attitudes towards such events. After all, it is obvious that the American military-political machine has a lot of such crimes on its conscience in the Islamic world. And, let’s emphasize, they are unjustifiable. However, many of them are acknowledged and condemned by the United States itself, with compensation paid to the victims, and a greater number are being investigated. American society has condemned the torture at Abu Ghraib, and the closure of the Guantanamo Bay prison was an issue in the presidential campaign.
Now the question is, when was the last time Russia acknowledged its military crimes, apologized for them, let alone compensated the victims? Not only does it not do this, but it now denies the established facts of other genocides, such as Srebrenica, which have been proven by numerous international investigations and trials. And this difference in approach does not speak of hypocrisy and political correctness, as some might think. It speaks to the fact that in the one case there is an attempt to minimize such manifestations of war, while in the other, by declaring them to be fakes, a carte blanche is given in advance. And if an American soldier at least thinks about the fact that he might be investigated and punished before committing a war crime, then a Russian soldier can kill, loot, torture, and rape civilians with a «clear conscience,» knowing that his leadership will declare it all fake.
