What are the «Kremlin Muslims» fighting for?

While numerous soldiers loyal to Putin from Muslim regions of Russia are fertilizing the black soil of Ukraine in the name of the «Russian world,» he is sincerely rewarding his fellow believers who are already under his control.

For example, in the prison of Dimitrovgrad in the Ulyanovsk region (FKU «Prison»), Muslim prisoners observing Ramadan were subjected to torture and humiliation by employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service. Their prayer rugs and Korans were destroyed. In particular, the following prisoners were severely beaten:

  • Zakayev Said-Magomed Ruslanovich, born March 7, 1995
  • Matiev Timur Ruslanovich, born July 24, 1996
  • Mochiev Shahid Shamurzaevich, born on June 6, 1999

The latter was beaten particularly brutally.

  • Mirzekhanov Alibek Magidinovich (his Koran was torn)
  • Bekmurzaev Rasanbek Suleymanovich, born September 17, 1980
  • Aliyev Muhammad Abdukerimovich, born on September 8, 1987
  • Zabayraev Magomed, born November 30, 1994

Rasanbek Bekmurzaev was taken by a special convoy to the Dimitrovgrad city hospital for urgent medical treatment. After that, dozens of prisoners, both Muslims and non-Muslims, slit their veins in protest against this lawlessness, and on April 14, hundreds of prisoners declared a hunger strike.

All this is reported by the human rights project «Gulagu.net» headed by Vladimir Oshchekin, who points out that all this is taking place during the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims. But what is most remarkable in the message distributed are the sneering comments of the prison guards who accompanied the beatings of the Muslims. They judged that no matter how much the Chechens in Mariupol fight, no one will consider them human beings anyway.

This is the kind of «Russian world» that Muslims, including the Muslims of the Moscow Patriarchate, are fighting for in Ukraine today, along with «Muslim bloggers» and «Muslim activists» who join their ranks. But we will discuss this next time, insha’Allah.
