In addition to practical issues related to the coronavirus, which has become the main topic on the global agenda, discussions about its nature and who is behind it continue in political and quasi-political circles. The «Voice of Islam» tries not to abuse conspiracy theories, considering them as a realm of speculation, rumor, and often blatant conjecture, which cannot be relied upon in forming one’s own attitude towards serious phenomena.
This is also true of the coronavirus problem, where there are many such conjectures, often mutually exclusive. Nevertheless, we have decided to acquaint our readers with the opinion of the well-known Turkish publicist Yusuf Kaplan, published in the pages of the «Yeni Şafak» edition, which is close to the high-ranking circles of the ruling party in Turkey.
Kaplan’s opinion is interesting in that it is completely contrary to the opinion widely held in some Muslim circles, especially in Turkey. For example, Kaplan begins by describing China’s attempts and the arguments of its apologists to convince the world community that this virus was used as a weapon against it by the United States. However, he then bases his analysis on the principle of «look who benefits» and evaluates the situation with the spread of the coronavirus in China and the world from this angle. And based on this, he comes to a completely unexpected conclusion: «Would it be an exaggeration to say the following? China invented this virus and spread it in one of its regions, then imposed a strict quarantine in this region, effectively locking people in their homes with the force of arms, and then spread this virus to the world, especially to Europe. Could it have done that? Of course it could! Didn’t the Mao revolution cost millions of lives?!»
He then justifies this as follows: «We have an obvious fact: American Jewish capital is beginning to move to China. The British and the Jews, seeing the rise of China, are establishing deep ties with China. The British are establishing long-term strategic relationships with participants in the Silk Road project. Jews have long been rooted in China, especially in the financial system. It seems that China will play a role similar to that of the United States for almost a century. Jewish and Anglo-Saxon circles have been in conflict in the United States for a long time. The Jewish circles won this war and drove the Anglo-Saxons out of the United States. The same story is unfolding in China today.
Kaplan believes that the global economic system is changing as a result of the crisis caused by the global coronavirus pandemic. He believes that its center of gravity is finally shifting from the West to the East, developing the idea expressed yesterday in an article in «Voice of Islam» — in the end, it is China, which seemed to be its main victim, that stands to gain the most from this story.
But Kaplan argues that China is no longer serving itself: «The capitalist system is restructuring itself, using China as a tool. There is no longer a country called China — the Chinese spirit has been destroyed by communism, and now China has become the slave of capitalism. China destroyed its colossal 5,000-year-old civilization with the communist experiment, and now global capitalism is using it».
At the same time, according to Kaplan, the nature of this capitalist system is also changing, not just its center shifting from the West to the East. «The world will no longer be as we have known it. People will be openly used as herds. They will create a digital capitalist civilization based on virtual reality through China,» Kaplan concludes, intriguing readers by promising to substantiate this claim in his subsequent publications.
